What a year it has been! We’ve had lots of fun with our 2024 Sew Along. Thank you for participating in the 2024 3YD Quilt Series Sew Along. Introducing 3YD Quebec. Lora lived in Montreal, Quebec for a while and chose the icy pale batik fabrics for this beautiful 3YD quilt. Alice, one of our pattern testers, constructed our cover quilt in purple fairy frosts and a solid purple from Michael Miller Fabrics. Both turned out beautiful. You can find the 3YD kits at our shop, $35.99 includes 1/2 yard of binding too.

All Good Things Must Come to an End
Or does it? A couple of months ago I created a poll on our Facebook group page, Material Girlfriends Quilting Gang. I had planned to do a Block of the Month Sew Along for 2025. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the majority wanted to continue with the 3YD pattern series. In a very close second, many quilters wanted small projects – even holiday-themed. Lora and I pitched the Block of the Month idea (there are plenty of designers already doing that anyway) and decided to combine the two leading ideas. Check back in January for an introduction to our 2025 Sew Along, Home is Pieced One Stitch at a Time. Tell your quilting friends!
