What is with this weather?
In Like a Lion, Out like a Lamb. According to the Farmers’ Almanac, the weather folklore stems from ancestral beliefs in balance, meaning if the weather at the start of March was bad (roaring, like a roaring lion), the month should end with good weather (gentle, like a lamb). Wavy.com
I, for one, am looking forward to the end of March. Lora and I live in the East Bay Area of California. We’ve had years of drought – longed for the rain, prayed for the rain, delighted when it sprinkled. The last three months have not been at all “typical” California weather. Blink, blink.

We have kits for this pretty block too. The kits have die-cut fusible appliqué pieces! Kit includes pattern, fabrics for the front and the binding. The kit does not include backing, batting, or hanger. Check them out here.
Easter is Coming!
Speaking of kits, check out our new kit for the Bite Size Bunny! It turned out so cute! He was very popular at our last two shows (hoppy to be home). He is now listed on our MaterialGirlfriendsShop.com page. You’ll also find a new Bunny Runner pattern and kit too.
Lora and I will be headed to Sonora, CA for a quilt retreat this coming week. Woohoo! We’re sew looking forward to it. The forecast is rain, rain, rain. However, I think we’ll do as Mr. Angelo recommends.
Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine. – Anthony J. Angelo
And plenty of quilt projects to sew.
Happy Sewing!
