Behind the Scenes: Lakeside Sewing Room Tour Prep
Coming soon… Lisa’s Lakeside Sewing Room is in the Delta Quilters Sewing Room Tour!
I’ve been busy de-cluttering fabrics, tools, and abandoned projects; recovering my bulletin boards; and even sewing simple 9-patch curtains for a cozy, scrappy charm.
I can’t wait to share the pictures. It’s been a refreshing reset and my Sewing Room Pinterest board has been huge source of inspiration.
What would you do if your sewing area was on tour! Panic, then plan. Am I right? The Sewing Room Tour is a fund raiser for our local Delta Quilters Guild, in Brentwood, CA. I’ll let you know when the tickets go on sale. (For those of you not local, don’t fret. I will do a full and thorough video tour for you!)

January Tradition: Quilt Project Assessment Time
Every first week of January, we tackle the BIG sort:
- Pull out every unfinished project
- Decide: Keep? Or donate to the free table at the guild?
- Choose the projects we’re excited to start (and complete?) this year
- Pre-cut as many as we can
(The secret to getting a quick 15-minute sew session is having projects ready to grab-and-go!)
To help you stay organized, download our two helpful tools:
- EQUIP List (Every QUilt In Progress)
- Project Swatch Sheet
Use them to track fabrics, notes, and progress stages.
